Germany offers medical care to each resident regardless of age, sickness, injured or poor. Bormann and Swart stated that Germans’ healthcare systems are divided into a private segment and public segment which are sponsored by a public (29). The two health systems are spending much on government revenue to cater for health but have lower life expectancies. On the other hand, the United States encounter some challenges in accessing health care. Some of these challenges include equity, cost-effectiveness, failure to access health care facilities and lack of coordinated care. Also, they do not stop treating the patient in case the cost is high. Bormann and Swart highlighted that the public health care insurance is provided to those people who cannot be able to pay for private insurance (36). These are people who make an income of less than $50,000 per year. The general tax that the government spends on "extraneous benefits" such as children coverage was 4. 5% of the overall expenditure. The fund used to cater for illnesses are funded through the compulsory contribution imposed from the gross wages. Insurance coverage is for all the citizens.
