Symphony Orchestra and Choral Concert Report
I was however averse with some of the classical compositions, the styles in which they were based and their performance techniques. In the evening concert that started a few minutes after 7pm, there were up to three pieces that were performed by the Orchestra in conjunction with the choir. Among the compositions that were performed for the evening were La Yeldah, which was played by Lili Girodie, the soprano Soloist, conducted by Owen Lee and overly supported by the DVC Philharmonic Orchestra. Other pieces of the night included Island in Space and Mass in Time of War. The evening featured the contemporary work by Kirke Mechem, F. The tempo in the part would alternate from moderate to slow. The Gloria, a form of symphony that is choral was beautiful to listen to.
