Generally, employee working conditions are very crucial to customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and consequently their performance, and also the performance of the organization in a competitive environment. Decent facilities ensure good and satisfactory work conditions in the workplace to enhance nursing performance. This is because workers value their work environment as imperative to their comfort requiring normal support and furthermore substitution of offices that increase their satisfaction while doing their work and also reduce their stress while working while could negatively impact their performance (Eluka and Okafor, 2014). This essay provides a literature review synthesizing arguments and studies by different authors on the impact of facilities for nursing in the workplace on nursing performance. Literature review It’s an undeniable fact that the workers' working environment is no uncertainty basic to the workers' general prosperity and furthermore their execution.

The findings of the study reveal that the designing of health facilities can either positively or negatively impact employee performance. Well designed facilities with good working conditions positively impact employee performance while poorly designed facilities negatively impact employee performance. This led to the conclusion that it’s important to put the need for healthcare workers into consideration when designing health facilities. Temkin-Greener et al. , (2009) examined the impact of work conditions in nursing homes on work effectiveness. One of the biggest complains in healthcare organizations is the lack of adequate parking for patients as well as staff and thus organizations that make necessary efforts to ensure adequate parking enhance satisfaction levels in the workplace. Similarly, the provision of child day care services also enhances job satisfaction.

The provision of quality childcare for the workers is critical to the businesses as it improves the workers' profitability as employees can focus on their work, reduces absenteeism and also cuts turnover which consequently enhances the value of an organization (Shellenback, 2004).
