Name Instructor Course Date Selection of Children Based on Genetics The advancement in technology has made it possible for parents and guardians to have options to modify their unborn babies by making them well-muscled tall short and intelligent as well as saving them from diseases or bless them with certain desirable traits.. As a result of the advancement in technology several questions have emerged such as will the technology empower parents to give their offspring the best start or will the technology design babies who would face unforeseen problems in genetics. Notably recently there have been a lot of positive results that have accrued from the use of genetic engineering babies although it is debated whether parents had right reasons to genetically modify their children. Despite the parent decides to keep that particular gene it means that the baby might be extremely intelligent as well as high levels of anger issues. Moreover attempts to eradicate illness may lead to the creation of a new form of illness something that the doctors may not be in a position to treat. In conclusion determining the genes of the baby does more harm than good to both the parents and the children and therefore parents should not be granted the right to choose their children based on the genes.
