In this analysis, the paper shall focus on the issues that cause controversy in healthcare reforms despite numerous individuals and studies being in favor of the change. Resistance to change in the health sector can on a broader scale be accrued to political interference. Although practitioners and other individuals accrued to the healthcare industry are pro-change, their efforts are met by a lot of resistance from political leaders (Patel & Rushefsky, 2014). This issue has led to the failure of reforms incorporated due to the high level of resistance that they have to deal with in this area. In the united states political systems, the issue of status quo has a significant influence on the health sector where it is seen to work as a hindrance towards changes incorporated into the system (Patel & Rushefsky, 2014).

However, key players in the industry portray self-interest thus delaying the reforms (Gostin & Wiley, 2016). While these reforms were made to ensure that all people especially the low-and-middle class individuals with lower incomes industries that are seen to be critical players in this sector have been pushing against the reforms. This analogy is based on their fear that they will be on the losing end ones the changes are incorporated in spite of assurance that they shall be included in the sector as supporters and consultants (Gostin & Wiley, 2016). These companies have come together using their influence to delay the reforms and in some cases derail them thus leading to the controversies experiences in the implementation of healthcare reforms. As the discussion shows, the healthcare sector has been facing a lot of challenges in the implementation of set reforms despite numerous individuals being in support of the changes.
