The masque of the red death analysis
Document Type:Coursework
Subject Area:Arts
Over the years, Corman has built himself a reputation in producing low-budget movies. The film is based on a series of literary work by Edgar Poe. Corman had taken up the role of producing movies based on Edgar’s works (Large 1). As the director, Corman arranged the movies to cut out aspects such as the gore that is common on horror movies. In addition, he eliminated the psychological terror and long suspense that is also common in most horror films. Some of these costumes and sets were borrowed from other productions and reused throughout the film. The significance of recycling is evident when Corman decides to rename and reuse two characters from a previous film on The Masque of the Red Death.
