However, as the Canadians nears the 2019 federal elections it is imperative for them to understand the major political parties and their stand on major issues such as immigration, economy, health, education, jobs and skills training, energy, pharmacies, gender, Youth , International trade e. t. c. Moreover, knowing the key political principals and their stand on such issues is for imperative for the Canadians as they approach the voting process. The system of elections and politics in Canada is set up basing on the political groups (Onstad, 2019). Although at times it is challenging to keep track of all the parties, it very prudent for Canadians to know the stand of each party on various national issues such as immigration policy, taxes, economy, housing, education, Health and others.

Canadians are heading to the 2019 election to elect an incoming federal government, which can introduce changes to the existing immigration policies in Canada. Canada has three major parties in politics – the new Democratic Party (NDP), the governing Liberals and the Conservative Party of Canada ("Political Parties | The Canada Guide"). Although all of them are known to lean on economic immigration, there are variations in their response towards the matter that can influence the immigration policy. According to the liberals, the immigration policies of Canada have focused on a way that puts them in increasingly stark contrast to the current policies of the United States and many European nations and thus the need for change. 9 Aug.
