ENVIRONMENTAL ARTS Name Course Lecturer Date Introduction Environmental arts refers to collections of artworks that are created taking into consideration ecological impacts and long term effects for both human and non-human systems. It encompasses different approaches of arts concerned with nature. People have been maintaining the environment for centuries deeply connecting to its beauty through culture and sustained practices (Bower pg. 1). However in the wake of the industrial revolution the value for the environment decreased significantly with people showing less concern in conserving the environment. It is until recently that desire to preserve and care for environment has revived leading to the evolution of the environmental arts which have expanded to include ecological and politically motivated artwork. Unlike other forms of arts an environmental artist is concerned with connecting with the nature through the use of natural materials (Darabas pg. 2).
