Nursing provides a framework of dealing with the diseases and also helping the people in the society to lead health loves that required healthy loving. It is therefore important for any nurse in the society to be fully aware of various issues that affect them and also provide the best for the society. The nursing field is applicable in dealing with the common vices in the society and also working towards helping the vulnerable populations in any society. The purpose of this paper is to examine some of the common ways that nursing is applicable in the society. Vulnerable Population The vulnerable population in health care varies greatly. It can be explained based on the racial characteristic of the people. The people of low social status in the society can also be said to be vulnerable.

This is because they cannot afford the best health care. Health care is quite expensive and it needs proper and well develops methodologies to meet its demand fully. The poor or those of low social class cannot fully meet their health needs and thence they are vulnerable to diseases. The nursing theorists have developed some of the basic knowledge and basic principles of helping other people who are vulnerable to any group. With this, nurses can apply some of the theoretical platforms to deal with such problems with ease (Miller, 2017). The Self Care theory which was developed by Orem in 1995 can be applied extensively in the nursing provision in dealing with rage provision of health care related services to the vulnerable in the society.

This can provide the best framework for developing inclusive health care services in the society. The theory explains in details on how various individuals in the society can benefit from the health care services from the healthcare centres simply because they require the services. Vulnerable populations need specialised health care services that are needed for the provision of services that suits the people (Chadwick & Gallagher 2016). The vulnerable population needs health care services that range with their needs. The old people, for instance, need health support materials that will help them prolong their lives. Some of the services that are needed for these people include the provision of wheelchairs and other life support drugs that will help them lead healthy lives. These services should be in line with their diverse needs and meet the culturally accepted techniques that will suit any community and the nurses should have full knowledge of such issues (Chadwick & Gallagher 2016).
