In seeking to get the best out of life individuals have to use their education and work experiences to enhance their employability. The ability to process one’s academic information and work experiences and present it in a manner that can become attractive to a potential employer entails effective career development procedures. Career assessment In many cultures the career of an individual categorizes him. Therefore when meeting a stranger one often expects to be offered information in regard to his professional make up. After giving his full name one may be expected to say where he works or if he is a student in a certain college. The significance of career development cannot be emphasized further in a society that only finds value in a person when he above assessment one can now understand the reason as to why some people may earn an excellent salary and still not be productive. Yet others would endure in difficult jobs for long in the midst of low remuneration. A comparative analysis of the theory of self-efficacy and Holland can reveal some disconnect in the sense that the latter emphasizes the essence of using personality to ensure success with the former acknowledging that an individual may seek encouragement and motivation to purse a profession.
