This essay will discuss the factors which influenced me to pursue BSN, and the role of that degree might play in shaping my career path. What motivated me to pursue a BSN nursing degree? The need for nurses to have a BSN degree has become more and more apparent in recent times. Indeed, many people have suggested that it should be mandatory for all nurses to pursue it. Therefore, I was motivated to take the course because of some important reasons. First of all, it is a notable step towards career advancements. This is because the nurses have a better understanding of the disease process, and as a consequence, they can make important decisions without the supervision of the doctors. Knowing that BSN will also enable me to broaden my career path and will allow me to pursue other jobs more easily motivated me to seek it.

Apart from allowing me to change jobs, it will make it easier for me to pursue leadership positions and other opportunities such as teaching nursing related courses. Indeed, the factors that compelled me to pursue the degree are many, and I am opportunistic that it is indeed a wise step. Indeed, the academic criteria and the required clinical hours for BSN nurse makes them more experienced in handling the more complicated cases. Indeed, it involves adopting the values, skills, and knowledge relevant to the field and embracing them for the profession. Determining the stage of socialization, I am currently in far from straightforward, because of the different variables involved in the process. Nonetheless, I feel that I am still in the process of legitimization.
