This is seen on how traumatic experiences follow them even if they did not live in their land. The story begins with Belicia, both Lola’s and Oscar’s mother removing her breast because she has breast cancer. Her breast is the source of her power since they are the source of her sex appeal, therefore, losing her breast simply means that she also loses her power over her teenage daughter, Lola. Lola also cuts her hair. However, her mother is not happy with that and gives her wig to wear which she later burns. This made her get more confused since instead of the feeling eradicating in her mind it gets stronger and stronger making her not to have any peace leave alone sleeping (Diaz “Wildwood”…).

Lola went to Santo Domingo where he connects with her ancestry and where the fuku came from. She learns that her character of rebellious is from her mother. La Inca shares their family story with Lola, the story about her grandfather. She feels satisfied with the Bruja that has risen over her since she learns that it is in her family history. When she got breast cancer, and her breast had to be removed, it means her power is also over, and that is why Lola took advantage of her illness. Lola, on the other hand, has her power on her legs and ass. Her big ass stops traffic every time she wears a short skirt. Max could not reject her when she shows her ass.
