LITERATURE REVIEW Collision Detection for Immersion of Virtual Reality Technology and Game Engines Introduction The 21st century has been characterized by enormous technological advancements. Many people have been connected and many organizational operations integrated with the modern technologies. The entertainment industry specifically in gaming has not been left behind as technologies such as virtual reality collision detection and advanced game engine technologies have been exposed. By definition virtual reality (VR) technology refers to a computer technology that creates an interactive three-dimensional environment that can utilize people’s sensory stimuli such as sight and sound to manipulate or perform a series of actions (Lv Halawani Feng ur Réhman & Li 2015). However the emergence of virtual reality has been supported or rather enhanced by the advancements in technologies such as collision detection and game engine. Collision detection refers to a computational process through which determines whether an intersection between two nodes voxel size computation in collision detection algorithms for virtual reality.
