Impact on Employees' Job Satisfaction of Leader’s Personality

All employees experienced more than 3 months from a Bucharest, Romania located company were involved in the study. Confidential results were kept, and the participation was entirely discretionary. In the period between February 2011 and February 2012, the study was carried out. Ascertaining the profile of the personality of the ones in the leading ranks and diagnosing the satisfaction level of all those employed consisted of the study’s first step. Depending on the importance of the department for the image of the company in front of its customers and the outcomes of the questionnaire satisfaction, to take part in a coaching program in the second phase two top managers have been selected. To leaders who specifically from their team generate satisfaction, their personality traits will be identified.

For the first hypothesis, for 6 out of 12 sides there were statistically identified significant correlations of professional content with factors of personality (Table 1) We may notice that employees tend to be more satisfied by their teamwork collaboration and by the company’s means of communion, from the presented results in Table 1. This applies to those employees with the traits of self-confidence (Lp), assertiveness (Do) and sociability (Sy). Also, ambitious (Cs), dashing (In), firm (Do) employees and prefer precise, structured work environments (Ac), by the company’s involvement in solving tend to be more contented and managing their difficulties, a fact which is confirmed by obtained results by Templer (2012) Assertive employees (Do), with the quantity of work they are faced with while in the program tend to be less satisfied.

This applies specifically to employees who are assertive and who complete their tasks single-handedly (In). 285, p <. 001, t|p2= 0. 10], with the department’s formal communication [F(1,118) = 4. 405, p <. 05, T|p2= 0. 14) Openness to new tasks, towards others and by agreeing to other persons distinct views from theirs (CPI260 scales: To, Fx) are characteristics of leaders whose subordinates satisfaction are more in contrast with leaders whose teams are less contented by their job. Contents that have a lesser structure (CPI 260 scales: Ai, Ct) also motivates these leaders, which allow them to show their own leading plans of action. Less contented team leaders in problem-solving preferred following clear processes (CPI 260 scales: Ac, Fx). Also in spite of their subordinates, they tend to affirm their viewpoint (CPI 260 scales: Do, Cs) and are oriented to obtaining results.
