Capitalism is a form of an economic system founded on the ideology private ownership of the available means of production that are operated with the solo motive of making a profit. On the onset of the 16th century the economic pillars supporting the feudal agricultural system paved the way to a new system of land ownership in England. In this developing system of land ownership large tracts of land began to find their way in the hands of few landlords who started owning large estates.
