Therefore, in relations to Mary Shelley’s life and career as an author, Sherry Ginn possesses the credentials to evaluate female literacy as this novel presumably entails the psychological understanding of the author and her life. This is evident in the novel as the creator of the monster abandons it right after creating it. Therefore, Mary Shelley creates a representation of her own life as represented by the abandoned monster. Another evidence is also cited by the fact that the monster’s creation does not obey the natural procreation concept that entails the male and the female species.

This introduces a concept in fiction and science with a possibility that there could be a possibility of procreation without the mutual involvement of both the male and the female The monster has no mother. This can also be attributed to the fact that Mary Shelley’s life without her mother in the question. These themes include the theme of procreation as depicted by Victor Frankenstein, the theme of death as evidenced by the deaths caused by the monster to victor’s bother and his wife Elizabeth as well as killing itself. Finally, there is the theme of parenting. This theme serves to symbolically bring out the paternal and maternal deficiency that Mary Shelley experienced in her life. The monster does not have a mother, and his creator as well abandons him.
