In the aviation industry business firms rate their successes by looking at the amount of their air cargo traffic realized over a specified period of time. Air cargo traffic is determined by looking at the volume of the load in tonnes that have been able to be transported through a particular airline or various airlines operating in a country maybe on the quarterly or annual basis. The increase in cargo traffic is a key targets by the Oman. As such the government of Oman is vigilant to do anything possible to increase its air cargo load which translates into enormous positive externalities tourists and other people coming into the region for business and related activities.
