Personal Statement on Philosophy of Education
Document Type:Personal Statement
Subject Area:Education
My passion for Islamic law made me advance my scope to study Islamic law, which gave me added advantage during my practice. I was therefore in a position to handle and practice matters of the Islamic community. Notwithstanding, my urge for the pursuit of knowledge granted me the opportunity to study business administration, in which I still practice to date. Other than this, I have also been training diploma students, assisting them in English as a foreign language. This has made me gather many experiences with the fact that students need to take in and uphold knowledge regardless of the environmental influences. All these forms aspects of philosophy called pedagogy. My experiences in training diploma students have made me concur with the words of Aristotle “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it”.
