Measuring Diversity in a Social Environment Name: Course: Date: Instructor: We often hear about the admission refugees in the news and through key government officials. People seem to either be totally for them coming to the United States or completely against it. However this is the extent to which many people discuss Syrian refugees. All discussion involving them seems to center around America and how they can either help or hurt as Americans. People tend to skip over the part where we discuss Syria what has happened there and how the people who live there have been affected. We are constantly judging and talking about an entire population that we don’t actually have any knowledge of. The purpose of this lecture is to examine all these things and then analyze how Syrians fit into America using other immigrant groups that we as a class are familiar with as a treated those who immigrated during our lifetimes and feel the same way.
