The speaker in the first stanza starts by describing how nature has changed over time and there was a time where it used to be like a dream and that time is now long gone. In the second stanza, William is still seeing the beauty although earth has lost the past glory there are things such as rainbow, lovely roses and the appearance of the moon around the sky which is still beautiful. The speaker also declares that by listening to singing birds in spring and the echo of the mountain brings about joy and takes away the grief. The poetry by William Wordsworth brings out aspects of interest in the past. For instance, in his poem “Ode on Intimations of Immortality” the poet is imagining of the life of a six-year old boy and how he is loved by both his mother and father in the 7th stanza.
