Reflection of the Age based diversity Interview

Various challenges were faced by the practicing nurses of the time such as very poor technology and fewer medication. They also experienced harsh conditions at work and long working hours. The political climate during this time was also rife with protests against gender bias at work therefore even though working conditions were poor at the onset of her career, things continued to look up with every new decade. When comparing the differences in the profession, then and now; it is astonishing how far nursing has come. Technology has seen so much advancement in the medical scene and this has greatly improved treatment and reduced mortality rates. Also, I got to learn so much about the similarities in challenges across various industries during the era, as well as recognize some challenges that were unique to various groups; women, Hispanics, African-Americans and Asian-Americans.
