The painting describes his process of conquest of the Aztec Empire. El Sueno de la Malinche on the other hand also conquest related painting by a Mexican artist which shows a female body serving as the ground for certain community and church in Mexican (McCafferty & Geoffrey 350). John Berger videos and articles on the way we see things will help us analyze the two paintings. The style and form of these two paintings represent the development of the artistic power and techniques during the ancient period. The Cholula Massacre painting represents the ruthless war actions of the conquistador Herman Cortes in such for power and invasion arms to conquer Mexico (McCafferty & Geoffrey 346). The painting represents different cultural beliefs of these individuals. The betrayal culture is also reflected on the Cholula Massacre; for this case, betrayal is evident when Cortes allowed his savage Tlaxcala allies to enter and sack the city as well as hauling the victims back to Tlaxcala to serve as sacrifices and slaves (McCafferty & Geoffrey, 350).

There is a great social connection between the two paintings. The Malinche dream vision and dedication towards helping the Mexican community forced her to use her position in collaboration with Cortes to help the nation emerge to be strong and productive. In addition, the painting shows two parts of Malinche life, first is the life of vision and accomplishment where she aimed at saving her nation, this is part of the body which serves as the nation ground and the individual life, that is, her lying head (Peterson et al. When one views a painting by a television the painting is in fragments and stages but when you see it in person it will exits as a whole piece. This might create different levels of the paintings.
