Document Preview:

Name Author Title The Happiness Hypothesis Happiness over the years since time immemorial has governed the human existence. Animals too have been found to have happy behaviors as well as sad actions meaning these emotional elements have been in existence since existence even began. In a book by Jonathan Haidt “The Happiness Hypothesis ” analyzes happiness from a psychological and philosophical standpoint it has many outstanding ideas on happiness as an element; how to live happily different ideologies on what makes a happy life comparing various philosophers of the ancient times and critics too. This book encompasses the human mind its reactions to the surrounding various relations with animals not forgetting the element that is virtue and spirituality with reference to the Bible beliefs and positivity in adversity. Basically this psychologist did a rather comprehensive and in-depth analysis to make us understand happiness its root and how it can provide you more pleasure peace and great satisfaction. In conclusion The Happiness Hypothesis has so much to learn from and I urge that we keep these ideas in mind learn from people that have lived and practiced each of the thoughts because happiness is a choice that we make build upon and live on. So I finish up with a quote by Aristotle that says “Men become builders by building houses harpists by playing the harp. Similarly we grow just by the practice of just actions self-controlled by exercising self-control and courageous by performing acts of courage." Work cited Haidt Jonathan. The happiness hypothesis: Finding modern truth in ancient wisdom. Basic Books 2006. Haidt Jonathan J. Patrick Seder and Selin Kesebir. "Hive psychology happiness and public policy."
