The ultimate goal of every research project is to come up with findings that will be used to provide conclusions on the topic of study (Denscombe, 2014). Some of these research, are used for academic purposes, or professionals in the specific field can use them. Therefore, the data that is provided should be valid so that the target audience can use it. This condition has to be measured using an experiment that will ensure fairness. The best technique that can be used to measure this syndrome is the Somatic Symptom Scale. The Somatic Symptom Scale is in form of a questionnaire used to assess the somatic symptom burden. The main external validity threat that has been identified is the method used to collect data. The questionnaires will have various questions that relate to the condition of an individual. When the participants fill these question they will help the researcher to obtain the information that he or she required. Also, individuals will be interviewed, and the findings from this interview will be recorded then analyzed. After that, the conclusion of the research will be provided stating the significant findings that were achieved and the methods used to collect the data. The challenges that were experienced while carrying out this research will also be identified and how they were dealt with appropriately. From this perspective, selection should be an issue of great concern for this research.
