The analysis of the different factors can be used to examine the truth about the subject matter. This essay will respond to how Philipp Fehl, the author of the article, “Michelangelo's Crucifixion of St. Peter: Notes on the Identification of the Locale of the Action” uses the different aspects of the painting, “Crucifixion of St. Peter” to describe the exact location it depicts. The author begins the article by providing a general view of Michelangelo’s paintings which form the basis of the discussion. Peter4. He utilized aspects such aspects such as the pyramid shows the kind of architecture which was common during the time of the painting. According to Fehl, the pattern of masonry used on the left side of the drawing clearly represents the pyramid of the Centius.

Another feature outlined in the drawing is the tree on top of the pyramid which is assumed to be another landmark which is present in the Vatican which is referred to as the Terebinth of Nero5. This aspect has increased my urge to want to learn more about the topic to ascertain the truth. This is because the paintings used to describe the narration were developed in the same era and the painters were of the same movement, renaissance. Also, the location of the church is actually believed to be in the exact location so as to uphold the Christian traditions maintained by the people in the region. This, therefore, is used to enhance the religion and uphold the faith of the strong believers of the church.
