In theHan’s suitcase and the Charlotte’s webconflict is vividly brought to light. This paper will give an illustration of Hana from Han’s suitcase and Wilbur from Charlotte’s web, who find themselves embroiled in conflicts and how they overcome them. Additionally it will also compare and contrast conflicts faced by both characters. To begin with, In Han’s suitcase,Hana’s life revolved around a time of war when Adolf Hitler decided he needed to get rid of all his “enemies”, the Jews. The Nazi ruler declared Jews an evil people and laws were put in place to subjugate them, for example, “No Jews in the playground. Later on her life is taken. These conflicts are of Hana versus the society she lived in.

In Charlotte's web, Wilbur is born a runt. Mr. Arable means to kill him when his daughter, Fern, comes to the defense of the small piglet and vows to care for it. These two saved food for each other, made games, sang songs together to cheer each other up. This helped alleviate some of the loneliness Hana felt from her missing family. “Torn from their families , crammed into small spaces, with barley enough to eat, the girls set about trying to make the best of a very bad situation”(Levin 78). Though confined in a building, Hana took art classes from Friedl Dicker-Brandei. This shows a strength of character and courage. Zuckerman lets him live (White 167). Fern growing up and not having time to sit on a milking stool by the pigpen and charlotte dying are a big blow to Wilbur.
