Regression analysis of average weight of the body and brain in mammal species

Document Type:Coursework

Subject Area:Mathematics

Document 1

The data is presented below; brain weight (KGs) body weight (KGs) 3. 14 Data Analysis Regression This data was used in Excel to develop the scatterplot with brain weight in the horizontal axis and body weight in the vertical axis. This is because, brain weight is the independent variable and body weight the dependent variable in this analysis. The resulting scatterplot is presented below; The scatterplot above show the relationship between brain weight and body weight. In the scatterplot, most of the plotted points are close to the origin while the rest of the points are scattered. Correlation Correlation analysis was conducted and the results presented below;   brain weight body weight brain weight 1 body weight 0. 917584 1 From the correlation table above, the correlation coefficient, r, is 0.
