An analysis of graphic violence will, therefore, help uncover how dehumanizing this actions can be to the individuality of a person. This has increasingly become detrimental to the individuals who watch television programs or movies that are violent and the major explanation to this scenario is more like a situation where a person’s upbringing is in an environment that is violent. Cruel surroundings easily influence the behavior of a person in the sense that they see every bad action being perpetrated on a daily basis and this makes them develop a tendency to want to learn what they see.

With time, they find themselves in the habit of being violent to others because their psychological being has already adopted these kinds of behavior (Ferguson, 2015 p. This is the reason why graphic violence in televisions and movies can be considered to be dehumanizing. It is vital understanding that graphic violence in televisions and movies is dehumanizing because it demonizes the viewers thereby making them showcase the inhumanity in them. This is evident in the way viewers attitudes change once they watch movies that portray violence. A person can easily develop fear or pessimism when they watch a program on television or a movie that has violent content. This means that they do not retain their original state after they watch scenes that portray violence.
