According to Schwartz (2012), culture contains different aspects which form how those people carry themselves. It is a set of norms, attitudes, behavior, beliefs, and values shared between individuals in a particular geographical environment. It explains how they react to the different situation and how they carry out various activities. Culture relates to psychology in the sense that when one stays in one place for a long time, he or she will get accustomed to that way of living through conditioning. One of the matters affected by culture is emotions. On the contrary, when individuals are expressing positive emotion, they mostly do it in the presence of other people. In the culture of the United States, a negative emotion such as anger fear or disgust can be expressed either alone or in public.

When there is a positive emotion, it is expired through happiness and social cohesion. From the above details, the significant difference that exists between the two cultures is that in Japan when individuals are faced with negative emotions, they will choose to stay in a private place thus avoiding other people. Whereas in the United States, negative culture can be express both in private as well in the presence of other people. Therefore, as people socialize with individuals from different cultures they cannot find a hard time trying to conform to a particular type of behavior. Concluding, culture is diverse in different parts of the world. According to psychology individuals who stay in the same geographical area might have the same culture due to the socialization or their background.
