PowerPoint Does Not Make You a Good Speaker
The paper shall discuss the factors that determine an effective presentation. Thesis Statement: It takes more than PowerPoint presentation to be a speaker. In order to have a good presentation from PowerPoint, one must have the skills in writing on the slides and make sure that each slide has a good design, contrasting colors, big visible fonts, and avoid irritating sounds or animations. The presenter should avoid reading through the slides like a teleprompter; devices that allow the presenter maintain eye contact with the audience while reading notes thus should have passion for the topic and should be able to make words come alive off the page and not PowerPoint alone. Many people use PowerPoint as a way of overcoming their fear of speech (Paradi, 244).
