Managers can be able to make well-thought decisions by following a six-step decision-making process. This process starts by establishing whether there is a need for decision making resulting from a need to solve a certain problem or a new opportunity. After understanding the issue at hand the second step involves generating all possible solution to the problem by brainstorming or past experience. Each suggested solution is then critically analyzed to find out the alternative that is best suited to solve the issue at hand. In analyzing factors such as legality economic viability and practicability of the alternative should be put in consideration. The fourth step involves choosing the best-evaluated alternative. It is done by ranking the alternatives from the highest be accepted as evidence and what should be dismissed. This is because the evidence is interpreted by individuals and it doesn't necessarily mean that one's interpretation is similar to all other interpretation. From the video we have found that evaluating evidence; one must put three important questions to the evidence. First is the significance of the knowledge. Critical thinkers will get another interpretation of the evidence from what the presentation may have presented thus raising critical questions on the significance of the evidence or of the facts as presented. Second is that questions as to whether there was additional evidence needed should also be addressed. Facts as they are may not speak for themselves unless additional and different evidence is provided for support. Finally analyzing the question of whether the evidence is sufficient to the conclusion should be addressed and whether the evidence can make a case be determined. [...]
