Behavioral approach The behaviorist movement was started by John Watson in 1913 who wrote an article underlying assumptions regarding methodology and behavioral analysis. In methodology, behaviors of man form the behaviorist’s total scheme of investigation. Watsons states that methodological behavior of animal is recorded by the mind during the birth. It is concerned with the visible human behaviors which are stimulus response (Liu et al, 2018). This approach states the collection of behaviors learned when interacting with the environment. Those are the classical conditioning and operant conditioning. Humanistic approach This type of approach describes the human capability, willingness and possibility of self-actualization. In the middle of 20th century humanistic approach of psychology, rose to prominence, drawing on the philosophies of existencentialism and phenomenology (Malone, 2016).
