How I can Improve My Interpersonal Communication

Cultural and Language Differences Communication halt in a workplace which is dominantly multicultural because of the language and culture difference amongst the people involved either as staff or clients (DeVito, 2013). Additionally, culture barrier ensues in a workplace where the recruitment criteria require that one must be an affiliate of a particular culture for them to gain acceptance (Kalbfleisch, 2013). Gender Issues Communication barrier takes place in several ways when the matters of sex are part of the bias in a communication process (DeVito, 2013). For example, in a place where male chauvinism dominates, the female's opinions are not easily given consideration or even have them receive harsh treatment, and most likely the idea will be ignored altogether. Competition The competition in a workplace for the advancement of career and the striving of the employees to improve their ranks in the institution other that helping in improving communication will have the art fail (Kalbfleisch, 2013and DeVito, 2013).
