Affordable Care Act

Since the act’s implementation, several rules and regulations have also been expanded and added to the act (Act, 2017). The main aim for the implementation of the affordable care act in America was to reform the existing poor health care system by ensuring each American citizen affords quality health insurance by curbing the growth in health care spending in the United States. The reforms include rules for insurance companies, funding, spending, creation of committees, new job creation, rights and protection, new benefits, tax breaks and taxes. This actually means that the affordable care act does not only entail affordable health to the citizens (Protection, 2010). All the citizens in the US are covered by the health insurance in that they will have benefits, rights and protection hence ensuring they receive quality treatment when they need it as well as protecting the patients from abuses in the health care and insurance companies.
