To develop a sense of belonging to my people, the political indentation of my hometown affected my view of politics. When growing up, I learned about the government from home. However, they did not provide me with a broader perspective of the government and its functions as I was taught in school. At home, the government was only viewed in the ways it has failed and how it should improve, but I learned more about the government and its all dimensions in school. To some extent, I didn’t even realize what was compromised by the government. My friends discuss the contemporary issues in politics which have opened up my mind to different viewpoints of the politics and understand the different justification for the political affiliations for different individuals.

They are also active in participating in the political activities which have to pressure me to do the same to belong to the peer group. My peers have therefore influenced my political thinking by bringing out political realization at my level where we can bring out our viewpoints without fear of being judged. The media has influenced my thinking in politics. The media has held various discussions, interviews with the leaders to critically analyze the contemporary issues in politics. The high school has made an impact on my political socialization since it is at school I have gathered all the information about the government, especially in the history class. I have learned the history of the various governments in the country with their failures and successes, from the Democrats to the Republicans governments.

Even though the leadership skills of the various leaders are different, I have realized that they are biased towards their political socialization and rule in favor of their ideologies. The teachers in the school have made me critically analyze the different ideologies in government and have brought to light the thin line between perceptions and reality of political socialization. Through the information I have learned in school it is easy for me to determine my political socialization and choose the one that suits my expectation based on the reality of the political system. Senatorial seat and from my opinion it was a good thing for the state since he had tailored his manifestos to the preferences of the people in Rural Texas1.
