Parenting Essay

The role that parents play in the lives of the kids often affects their physical and psychological development. There are different approaches to parenting and each of these methods can create dissimilar psychological impacts on the child. One parenting style that I can associate with is the authoritative parent. This kind of parent is strict and firm in the manner that their child is raised. The type of parent ensures that their child grows up in an environment that is safe and friendly for them (Feldman, 2016). I consider myself as a person who was raised in a bubble. My parents ensured that I met every rule and guideline they enforced. This style of parenting went even ahead to control the environment that I was encountered.
