Includes the ideas of patriotism and devotion to others. Severitas: "Sternness" Gravity, self-control. Firmitas: "Tenacity" Strength of mind, the ability to stick to one's purpose. Health and cleanliness were a crucial aspect of these people in their society. Secondly, the people of the ancient Rome had a natural order socially, politically, and religiously. They were very patriotic and devoted to their society and the members of the society as well. This aspect of dutifulness brought about the act of spiritual authority where people had the sense of their social standings and were built up through hard work.
