However, the film has exaggerations which are not biblical and elements that are quoted out of the Bible. In the filming, it is accepted to vividly bring out the suffering of Jesus in his last moments. The most parts in the movie where criticism is based on are the brutality and the Anti-Semitic theme. The passion Jesus had, show brutality he passes through so that he can save people, though, in the movie, Jews are the one advance for his death and persecutions. In the film; The Passion of the Christ, many scenes are not found in the gospel books which include elements such as motifs, themes, and characters, but they are there for additional of elements of drama. This implicates that the High and chief priests were jealous of Jesus according to the Bible leading to his crucifixion.

The Priest did all theses in the act of panic that Jesus will take over there Kingdom or role. The Jews people who go against the Priest were outcasts, therefore because of the fear, they accepted to sing the same tune the priest song of Jesus to be crucified. However, it does not portray clearly or explain the reason the Jews people acted in such a manner to make their Messiah being slain. According to the movie, the Jews people felt passionate about putting Christ to death since they were screaming adamantly in the scenes that crucify him but it is not explained in the Bible. Jesus know what he is going to pass through and what pain and brutality he is to face, therefore, he decides not to look back but to remain strong in the course.

This becomes more expressive as the movie progresses where the hallucinations of devils and Satan increases. In the Bible, the appearance of Satan is not there. In the movie, it is used to increase the tension and drama. Also, it segregates between the bad and the good. The other scene that involves devil is a time when Judas commits suicide. Before Judas hangs himself, he sees two children taunting him and in the desert he sees Satan walking with them. After he gets out of this hallucinations, he again envisions an animal that is dead and the finally take his life by hanging on a branch of a tree. In the movie, the second scenario of Satan appearance is to depict the resulting betrayal of Judas.

For the movie viewers, Satan is used to put more weight on what Judas has done is wrong and that is also manifested in the guilt he passes through. In the book of Gospel of Luke, it is indicated that Jesus is crucified with thieves and one of them pleaded with him to remember him when he goes to his father and Jesus answered him that he is going to be with him in paradise that day. The other thief in the movie laughs at the plea his colleague make to Jesus while on the cross and immediately his eyes are pecked out by a raven which lands on his cross. However, this is not indicated in the Bible but is mainly used in the movie to show how God punishes the evil people.

Conclusion In conclusion, the Passion of the Christ film by Mel Gibson and the Bible have slight differences in accounts which are made deliberately in the movie to create a feeling that is dramatically and emotional to the audience.
