Why I Want to be a Member of the Honors College

With my good grades in math and sciences, I enjoyed calculations and complex units in my classwork which motivated me to want to take a course in civil engineering. The uniqueness of civil engineering prompted me since it is not just about designing and building structures, but also entails maintaining them to ensure they are efficient and sustainable for use over time. With the various engineering clubs in YSU College, through teamwork and dedication, I may be able to share my ideas and thoughts of a possible way to come up with an efficient means of testing water and if it is suitable for use. I deserve this scholarship because I work hard and I am a go-getter. I have a passion and self-drive not only to achieve my dreams but to also provide solutions to the society through the opportunity if granted, the chance to learn and interact with like-minded people.
