The social bonds are also crucial in that they help in the enhancement of security in any given society. A community that is divided always finds it difficult to fight even the slightest problem that may be ailing a group of people. It is, therefore, crucial to learn and identify measures that can be applied to help in creating a healthy interaction between people. Social psychology refers to the studies of the social behaviors of different individuals and the importance of the social aspects of a person’s behavior (Thibaut). In a nutshell, this branch of psychology studies the actions of members of the community, how they think, and explores their feeling in the social context. The two areas aim to identify the source of issues in the community and to provide solutions to them (Weissman et al 928).

A social worker, for instance, a community health worker who is operating in a region that is known to have high cases of drugs and substance abuse, would require the information collected by a social psychologist. Such data is crucial since it would provide the social worker with an insight into the challenges that his or her patients are going through identified through their behaviors (Thibaut). Social psychology, therefore, provides essential information that allows the working of a social worker possible. Besides, social psychology offers crucial information relating to the interaction between social workers themselves as well as their relationship with a community they are deployed to serve. Such resolutions are only reached by application of social research to identify the methods that could help educators in delivering effective education to a particular society.
