“Three person’d God” is a line in the poem that creates an image of God. Through the Christian religion, God is personified by three characters, which represents his trinity. This imagery makes the poem seem more religion and as such a reader expects to be exemplified to concepts that are based on the Christian religion. This poem not only shows evidences of religion but also some bits or romance. John wrote most of his poems on the concepts and beliefs of religion; he believed that love required some sense of physicality and spirituality to grow. Love is God given and thus should be cherished and adorned.
