Speech Apraxia Essay
Document Type:Thesis
Subject Area:Computer Science
Most of the children who develop speech apraxia usually have oral motor disabilities. These can be seen as difficulties in making mouth movements during speech construction and other mouth movement difficulties (Berk, 2014). This inability to construct speech even though they know what they what to say can cause frustration in children. Most of these children develop social anxiety-disorders; have low self-esteem, low confidence and even depression. These emotional disorders are worse when the children lack a proper support system. It is imperative to note that with early speech therapy interventions, these children grow up to be fully functioning members of the society. Works Cited Berk, Laura E.
