According to Singh and Ghatala ( 417), risk management involves taking action to ensure that unexpected incidents’ severity and frequency are reduced, reduction of effects of legal claims, system design, and improve high reliability performance, and each patient uniqueness which may expose the organization to possible liability. There are different challenges that healthcare organizations face to deliver proficient risk management. There is no one-model-fits-all approach to risk management as each organization has its own challenges (Scranton University). Thus, to find more about risk management, I went to Rivera Private Medical Clinic. The Medical Clinic has a Risk Management Department. Also, we encourage our physicians to take steps towards anything related to infectious diseases which can be avoidable. In addition, we do an immediate correction, with speed and accuracy for infectious diseases risks that are unavoidable.

Furthermore, in order to reduce risks to our clinic, we handle complaints related to infectious diseases quickly. Finally, we provide guidance to our physicians and employees on how to report infectious diseases incidences in order to reduce risks to our organization. How does the educational risk management program addresses key professional issues, such as negligence prevention, malpractice ligation, and vicarious liability? Just to stress, professional issues are a challenge to our medical clinics. What are the strategies that your organization utilizes to monitor and maintain risk management program? The Committee responsible for Risk Management reviews activities of risk management regularly. Besides, as the manager, I report outcomes and activities such as safety and assessment results, claims activity, trends and report summarizes frequently to the governing board.

Furthermore, we develop improvement goals to ensure that we remain relevant and consistent with patient safety and risk management objectives and goals. The primary priority of any healthcare facility is efficient patient care except consequence of finance. Most of the patient risks are usually reduced by providing accurate and appropriate counseling services nurses and physicians. In addition, training of staff, physicians and competency assessments conduction. However, at times so due to improper management, the life of a patient is at risk. Thus, some of the actions that I will take to improve, is to ensure that missed appointments of patients are a tracked appropriately to minimize risks.
