It was in March 1963 when Ernesto Miranda got arrested by the Phoenix Police based on certain circumstantial evidence connecting him to rapes and kidnapping of an eighteen-year-old Lady in the past ten days. After around two hours of being interrogated by police, there was the signing of confession by Miranda to rape charges on documents inclusive of written statements. In no time Miranda was confronted on his right to counsels.
