Tenskwatawa was the younger brother of Tecumseh, and he served as a political and a religious leader in the Shawnee tribe. The essay will focus on the main religious messages spread by Tenskwatawa to his people as a prophet. It will also demonstrate the Tecumseh view of Indians land and the treaty, his attitude towards the white Americans and the relationship illustrated between the U. S government and the American Indians. After a great stupor that made everyone believe he was dead, Tenskwatawa brought a message that he had seen terrifying punishments, which he claimed they would not befall anyone if at all they followed him and his teachings. Tenskwatawa sees the culture of Americans as one that is entirely corrupt and one that goes contrary to the creator's desire.

He says that being incorporated into the white man's lifestyle, they had become needful and weak, unlike how they were before. Due to Americans culture, their men could no longer hunt without a noisy gun. Essentially, Tenskwatawa demonstrates using various instances that the American culture is very corrupt. Tecumseh’ praises his culture and tribe, saying that their forefathers were warriors. The American Indians and the U. S government are seen to have almost the same mission, which is to eradicate the red people, concur them and take their land. The Indians and U. S, are both great rivals of the red people since the red people believe they have different religious and political beliefs. The document also illustrates that both the government and the Indians have no regard to the creator, who has the utmost respect from the red people.
