The award of an ISO certificate has been considered to aid in a company's competence due to customer preference whereby most customers and clients will go for those organizations whose standards conform to the ISO 9001 requirements. The common belief is that there is a guarantee that the quality of products and services produced/delivered by such organizations is high. Goal This paper initially aims to establish the significance of the organizational knowledge clause included in ISO 9001: 2015 revision. The paper will further present the major ways in which the new clause will impact the quality of goods and services produced by organizations which comply with the ISO standard in conjunction with the organizational knowledge provision.
