Gender has received a vast study among the many speech communities that exist. We will focus mainly on gender as a precise speech community and socialization into gender communities, gendered communication in practice and misunderstanding between gender communities. Gender speech communities have adversely received a wide study among many individuals thus creating a positive impact in communities. Socialization into Gender Speech Communities. Research shows that family is an important agent of socialization. When a man remains quiet when the woman is talking to him the woman thinks that the man is not listening (Herring & Androutsopoulos, 2015). She thinks that the man is not understanding what she is saying and may keep repeating the words which are uncomfortable for the man. Misunderstanding between gender communities.

Some common misunderstanding occurs when men and women differ in leadership roles. In most of the cases men tend to be more authoritative and women submissive. Also with gender, in every speech community there is a great distinction, not everyone particularly men and women conforms to speech communities norms and behaviours, all human beings are unique and special in their way. We should apply the skills we have learnt in our daily lives, and also we should continue to engage in ideas about how to improve our communication skills among various speech communities that exist.
