The objectives of the paper are to identify various families and common health traditions basing on their cultural heritage. The assessment reveals difference and similarities in health traditions that may assist in offering the same health delivery. Heritage Assessment Tool solely involves cultural awareness. Cultural awareness has a different meaning. It is personal`s awareness of their understanding between oneself and another background, cultural, values, beliefs and attitude towards health. Christian families believe that proper nutrition, physical exercise and having a positive mind and thinking will offer excellent health and assist people to remain healthy and strong. Christianity belief that traditional medicine and over the counter drug is a vice. They grow up viewing praying, meditation and having a positive mind as a solution for illness (Rawlings, 2010).

Currently, modern professionals are looking at mind as useful and valuable to prepare individual and body for rehabilitation and wellness. A perfect example is a biofeedback. They believe in a strong sense of healthcare with a commitment to social work. Catholics believe that good healthcare entails care for the poor, compassion, human dignity, service, the sacredness of life and justice. For Indian/Hindu culture health refers to the continuous maintenance of the working of the body under both normal and abnormal circumstances. They sometimes believe that environmental conditions contribute to good or bad health. Hindu religious view in health surrounds spiritual objectives. Different cultures use a particular tradition to incorporate each belief in maintenance and restoration of health. Today, many medicines are widely available across various cultures and religion.

Various cultural groups may select to integrate their own beliefs and traditions to promote and restore health (Bishop $ Quah, 1996). Using Heritage Assessment Tool help medical practitioners to understand and familiarize themselves with distinct cultures to foster excellent care across diverse patient`s populations.
