Due to the significant energy demands in stadiums and arenas which are mainly caused by the sports activities that are carried out there, the need for maintenance initiatives is also high. Regular maintenance and proper management of these facilities is the best solution for enabling long-term use. Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Alabama is an excellent example of the aging stadiums that have not had proper maintenance and poor management over the years (Sharp, 2018). It was constructed in 1948 and was previously known as Ernest F. Ladd Memorial Stadium. Further, the study found out that some poor drainages and leakages were in the facility. This was so alarming for the board members since they were worried about the public’s perception and feared that the community would not trust that their facility was safe enough for use.

It is so sure that the state of the stadium was not at the best level. Its standard seemed to be lower than expected. This would affect the community that was served by the facility since it was not feeling safe to use the stadium especially after the survey that graded the standard of the stadium as D plus which was very low (Specker, 2018). The board members of the stadium are aware that the most important thing that they should do is enabling maintenance to the facility to have the communities trust back and also is in a position to give the facility to the city for the sports activities among others. Moreover, maintenance and good management will help the facility to survive for at least another twenty years which will also be very economical.
