The team consists of medical and clinical staff, IT experts, executive members of the organization and vendors who are familiar with both technology and operations of the business. Each group develops its own tactical plan entailing every system that requires implementation through the guidance of a qualified IT expert (Ginter et al, 2013). Tactic plan created should consist of requirement for new system, analysis of workflow, development of new workflow and channel through which work should be done. SWOT analysis is used by each member of the group to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats encountered in their field of work (Bradburn et al, 2004). Employees who have worked in various fields provide possible ideas on how the field can be improved.

Improving management structure to ascertain efficiency of output delivered. Adjusting in areas which might slow down HIS and technology performance such as changing of employees working routine which will help in reducing the laxity exhibited by employees. The forth purpose is to ensure that skills set and personal resources are available when changing the working routine of individuals. Abrupt shift in the workplace can be a major turn in output of an organization because people need to adjust to the changes made which is likely to take time before normal organizational goals are achieved. Experts should be brought into the organization during this time of change so that members can learn quickly from the experts and adjust accordingly because they will have acquired skills from the expert.

However, some members are adamant to accept instructions and thus the group has an obligation of making sure that members have a high level of discipline and the stubborn members should be punished. High discipline will ensure that information system and technology of an organization is managed in a way that protects its internal control and safe guards its integrity, which will be useful in achieving its goals. HIS steering group members are compromised on their ranks because of the following: They play a huge role in investing in organization unlike other members and thus, any decision made good or bad in the organization is most likely to affect them in every way (Jensen, 2011). For instance, board of directors and trustees are part of the team that contribute immensely in buying resources required buy the company and taking all risks faced by the organization.
