Unlike the modern literacy, traditional and ancient literature was accustomed by learning basic sounds and writing them in stones, scrolls and other ancient writing materials. This has really revolved and modern society has made hefty steps in improving modern literacy. Knowledge of how to read, understand and write words starts when one is very young even before attending formal classes. My reading accomplishment was also affected by some pullbacks. I naturally have slow speech and this was a real setback in my childhood reading accomplishment. I my tough was also very heavy and this made me get a hard time trying to pronounce some words. Whenever I read properly, she would clap for me and smile to me. This encouraged me a lot and this is why I used to try hard to even read for my own. Ideas for parents to improve the learning experience of children. Parents are the closest individuals to their children. They contribute a lot to the achievement of children’s learning experience. The story can in the book which the children read and the parent can decide to explain to the child about the story in a more interesting manner.

This has been proven by numerous researchers to be a very great motivational factor for children to develop learning skills. This would be more effective because it would provide a good channel through which children would easily get the means to learn. For instance, my mother was a bit buzzy and never got enough time to help me effectively understand reading. The child might also see other siblings sing as this might create interest in him/her as he/she might start trying to sing.

How parents positively influence emergent literacy within the home. A parent can positively influence emergent literacy to their children through storytelling. They can do this by telling the children very funny or educative stories that make the children get interested in reading and writing. Moreover, parents can engage the children in playing as they repeat some words during the play. In addition to that, traveling with children in different places makes them meet different people learn their way of life. This creates a strong diversity nature of children. In classrooms, diversity can be taught by allowing learners from different places to freely interact and share ideas. Introducing foreign language learning classes can also play an integral part in teaching learners about diversity.

How the methods help children develop attitudes for one another When children learn about cultures, beliefs, and way of life of different people, they appreciate them and this helps them live in harmony with each other. If for instance, a child reads a book that the character is in a pitiful situation, the child might sympathize with the character and develop some strong bond with him/her. Books that show how children bond with book characters These include “The Kids from Help, Look at Loss and Life” by Arnold Kurzrok. The book clearly shows how children can pity book characters who have faced some life challenges. “Creating Emotions in Games” by David Freeman is another great book that clearly discuss how can become emotional whenever they read about a character who is going through serious life challenges.
